Broken

26.01.12

So as you may have read on my various social networking feeds...i broke my collarbone. How? well it was a not so extreme fall whilst out skiing and snowboarding with some friends this new years. Long story short though, luckily it was my left shoulder that is broken and will not be putting me out of action for too long!

Its been a strange experience so far, only two weeks in and ive had to have surgery to put a plate in to pull my collarbone back together, first time ive been in hospital since i was 3 and first time ive ever needed surgery like this. The operation/accident has meant my left arm is fairly weak, but my hands are fine, so all in all its looking pretty good and i should make a full recovery within a couple of months. Needless to say its certainly given me great admiration for those that go through far worse than i have and need to have months and months of physio. I wouldnt say its been a life changing experience but has certainly changed my perspective on a few things.

Either way, as far as drawing and playing music, i should be up and back at it within the week of posting this today, maybe not at full force but this isnt going to stop me! In the downtime at home i have had a ton of ideas for prints and new work this year. Ive had a brand new print that i am super proud of come out with Skull & Heart, which you can purchase here. Ive also put up some new(ish) work on the portfolio, it was due a boost of new work! and i also have some VERY limited prints up in the shop right now. Heres some details below..

-First up is Francesca. This is a very special piece to me, i created it about 4 years ago now, and originally printed it at a scale just over A0, i then made these versions that are a little bit smaller. They were hand printed by me on 300gsm beautiful paper with a cyan/magenta gradient. They are limited to 17 and will never be printed again, this is essentially the piece that made me the artist i am today, it was an experiment in style and i didnt look back! you can check it out here and here.

-Secondly i have two beautiful editions of prints from my Mumford clothing range, Prologue and Rites. These were previously available from the US, but i now have my hands on limited editions of each, so will be able to sign and number these personally. This is is the last time they will be printed. They are offset Litho prints on 230 gsm paper and are absolutely stunning in the print quality!

-Finally i have a VERY limited quantity of some really old Gallows prints, these were produced in 2007 for a show Gallows played in london at the 100 Club, it was early on in the bands rise, but i just found these hidden away the other day. So if interested snap them up quickly as they WILL go. You can find them in the store right here.

PS: Not my X-ray unfortunately, but thats the metal monster they put in my shoulder!
